Description
Inka berry is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows in hot and dry areas near the Andes. The plant can reach a height of between 0.6 to 0.9 meters. The fruits are orange-yellow berries, round in shape and 1.5 to 2 cm in diameter with a distinctive yet pleasant bittersweet flavor.
Benefits
Inka berry, acts as a potent antioxidant, preventing cellular aging. It favors the healing of wounds and fights allergies such as asthma. Source of vitamin A (3000 U.I of carotene per 100 gr) and vitamin C, as well as some B-complex vitamins (thiamine, niacin and vitamin B12). Its protein and phosphorus content are exceptionally high. Recommended for people with diabetes and prostate problems thanks to its diuretic properties, as well as acting as a natural tranquilizers due to its flavonoid content.
